India has inaugurated its first high-speed rail corridor, a landmark infrastructure project that promises to transform the nation’s transportation network. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train, developed in collaboration with Japan, officially began operations in a grand ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The bullet train, capable of reaching speeds of up to 320 kilometers per hour, significantly reduces travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad from eight hours to just under three.
